A recent US Department of Justice Survey concluded that over 44 million Americans have been victims of identity theft, and the numbers are climbing. But nowhere is the practice more rampant than in our beloved domestic automobile industry. As if domestic badge engineering didn't do enough to flood the streets with automotive clones the U.S. Treasury Department announced today that it is considering providing "financial assistance" to aid General Motors and Chrysler in their proposed merger.
