We mere mortals usually complain about our annoying relatives and about our dysfunctional families. Our parents and grandparents would even go so far as to claim that these kinds of problems never beset them in their time, which was according to them much more innocent and much simpler. If your parents however think the past didn't have its fair share of dysfunctional families and was as ideal as they picture it to be, they never read about Greek mythology.
