Default Sabah Adventure Challenge 2009

Hi

We celebrate our 10th anniversary of the Sabah Adventure Challenge 2009 with a race scheduled on the 10th-12th April 2009 in Kota Kinabalu, with a race course covering 143 Kilometers over 3 days. As always, we have an adventure and extreme category, with prizes allocated for the best mixed team (male/female or female/female) based on finish times.

The race isn't about the prize money offered but really about finishing one hell of a race route based on the experince of the race directors who year to year put together a challenging but do-able race route across mountain ranges, through raging rivers and with a generally challenging mountain bike route from start to finish over the 3 days.

This year's new addition is a night orienteering race start on the 10th April with teams starting the race at 3am and covering over 80 Kilometers alone on day one.

The SAC is an ultra endurance event, catered for triathletes, mountain bikers and trail runners who have a good feel of both running, cycling and orienteering. The borneo sun doesn't make it any easier and we invite experinced and seasoned athletes to celebrate our 10th anniversary and to sign up in what is a bloody hard race to complete.

As we have 25 slots available for the 2009 event, we invite teams from singapore who are looking for an event thats slightly different from the norm, to give the SAC a go, especially if they are looking for an ultra endurance and distance event to compete in on top of major triathlon, half iron man and iron man events for 2009.

NOTE: there are no kayak sections in the 2009 event as we go back to the original format of biathlons, mountain biking, and trail running in completing the 140 plus kilometers.
